The lawns at Belconnen Croquet Club have been taking on a whole new look after dark, with a trial of night croquet giving members a fun new way to enjoy the game.

Through the Canberra Southern Cross Club Community Rewards Program, the club received funding to introduce a nighttime set-up and spend the past month experimenting with different ways to keep the croquet balls glowing as daylight fades.

The latest session brought an extra touch of warmth to the evening, with members enjoying glühwein and charcuterie alongside a game of croquet, creating a relaxed and social night on the lawns.

The trial has been a great opportunity for the club to try something different, and there are hopes that night croquet will become a regular feature when the darker evenings return.
