Celebrating Five Awards at the 2025 ClubsACT Clubs & Community Awards

We’re proud to share that the Canberra Southern Cross Club took home five awards at the 2025 Clubs & Community Awards, recognising the dedication of our people and the impact of our programs across the community.

Arts & Culture – The Art of Connection
Being recognised for The Art of Connection is a meaningful achievement. Through dedicated programs, partnerships and events, we’ve worked to support local artists, celebrate diverse cultural traditions, and create spaces where the community can come together. This award is a reminder of the role clubs can play in keeping arts, culture and connection accessible to all.

Education, Learning & Development – Learning in Action
This award recognises our ongoing commitment to building skills, confidence, and leadership potential across our teams. A key part of this is our Venue Manager Development Program, which provides high-performing operational staff with hands-on training, scenario-based learning, and formal qualifications to grow into future leaders.

Sustainability & Environment – Cooking Up a Greener Future
We’re proud to receive recognition for Cooking Up a Greener Future, highlighting the Tuggeranong electric kitchen and our broader sustainability efforts. This award reflects our commitment to reducing environmental impact, embarcing innovative solutions, and setting new standards for sustainable operations in the hospitality industry.

Emerging Talent – Employee of the Year
Jason Lowe-Moon | Leading from the Frontline
Congratulations to Jason Lowe-Moon for being recognised as a finalist for Employee of the Year for his leadership, adaptability and strong focus on people and operations. His contribution continues to shape positive outcomes across teams and reflects the values this award celebrates.

Individual Service to the Industry
Anurag Gautam | The Passion Behind the Plate
We are proud to celebrate Anurag Gautam, our Food & Beverage General Manager, who was a finalist for the Individual Service to the Industry award. This recognition reflects his long-standing contribution to the club, his thoughtful leadership, and the care he brings to people, teams, and the broader community.

Being recognised in these five categories is something we’re proud of. These awards reflect the care, effort, and commitment our people bring every day, across leadership, learning, sustainability and community connection. Thank you to our team, members, and community for their continued support and for being part of what we do.
