French Buffet Dinner – Nombre Deux

Following on from the success of last year’s Italian buffet, Jamison’s Executive Chef Jojy is continuing the series by taking us on a culinary journey to France.

Our first French Buffet dinner was sold out, so due to popular demand we are happy to announce our French Buffet Nombre Deux. We suggest you book early for this one!

 

SALAD BAR

Salad Niçoise
Classic all-time favourite salad from the city of Nice, made with fresh Summer tomato, free range egg, niçoise olives, beans, baby romaine lettuce and Dijon dressing

Country Potato Salad
Country style potato salad, tossed with fresh herbs, sherry and mustard dressing

Tossed Salad
Farm fresh salad leaves tossed with French vinaigrette


MAIN

Chicken Provençal
Char grilled fillet of free range chicken maryland, marinated in fresh herbs de provençe, served with fresh tomato coulis and roasted Provençal vegetable

Beef Bourguignon
Pasture fed diced beef, slow cooked in red wine, fresh herb and port with baby onion, diced bacon lardon and champignon mushrooms, served with parisienne potato puree

Fish Meunière
A classic French restaurant dish of fresh fish fillet dusted with flour, pan fried in brown butter, lemon and fresh parsley


ACCOMPANIMENTS

Gratin Dauphinois
All time favourite French dish from Dauphine region in south east France, made with sliced potato baked in fresh cream and gratinated with gruyere cheese

Roasted Root Vegetable
Fresh seasonal vegetables, marinated with herbs and garlic and roasted till golden outside and fluffy inside


DESSERT

Crème Brûlée
Creamy vanilla bean and egg custard with thin layer of caramelised sugar on top

Summer Berry Mille-Feuille
Thin layers of pastry with local berries and cream

Red Wine Pear Tart
Fresh pears poached in cinnamon, star anise and port wine, baked in frangipane tart
