New Menu Launches at Yacht Club
We are pleased to announce that a new menu has launched at the Yacht Club Restaurant, on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Yarralumla.
Canberra Southern Cross Club Executive Chef Anurag Gautam has collaborated with new Yacht Club Executive Chef Anil Kapoor to create a menu that focuses on local ingredients and producers. A highlight is ‘The 200 Mile Menu’ which features six dishes containing ingredients that are predominantly sourced within 200 Miles of Canberra.
“The produce from our local region is fantastic and it supports the local economy. We know that our local farmers put their heart and soul into their produce and we want to support them,” commented Chef Anurag.
Examples of dishes are pan fried South Coast line caught jewfish, roasted saddle of Riverina lamb, local mushroom risotto and dry aged beef short rib, organically raised in the lush pastures of Southern NSW. The 200 Mile Menu also features local region wines that have been matched with the dishes.
Classic Yacht Club favourites are still part of the menu, with items such as our signature Crab Linguini and Fresh Fish of the Day.
