We Love Our Community
A vital part of the Canberra Southern Cross Club’s ethos is contributing to our community. Every year we provide support to over 350 local community groups, schools, and charities, providing over $1.5 million in support.
Our goal is to demonstrate our commitment through the support of local events and activities that benefit the Canberra community as a whole. Community Giving has been a major part of what we do since our establishment in 1972.
We have 5 key programs through which we supply cash, food, and services in kind to
- Community Rewards
- Community Key Partner
- Community Grants
- Community Welfare
- Community Sports
Find out more about each of these programs below and how you can become involved.
The Community Rewards Program uses the mechanic of nominating a Community Group participating in the program, to calculate the equivalent of 7.5% of the member’s spend on food and beverages at our Woden, Tuggeranong, Jamison and Yacht Club to be donated to that group. Donating up to a $20,000 per group cap, funds are calculated monthly and distributed quarterly. View the list of groups
