1 hour Sight Seeing Cruise
The MV Southern Cross departs daily for a wonderful trip around Canberra's Lake Burley Griffin. The perfect way to see most of the major buildings, beautiful parks and the foreshore areas of the Parliamentary Triangle Area. An informative commentary given by our Captains provides an insight into the history, culture and ecology of the National Capital. Enjoy coffee, tea and other light refreshments available to purchase on board, while taking in Canberra's most desirable views of the:

Thursday Dinner Cruise
Soft music, fine cuisine, an elegant ambience, wonderful sunsets and the lights of Canberra reflecting on the waters of Lake Burley Griffin transforms a dinner cruise into the ultimate experience! You can purchase pre-dinner drinks at the bar and enjoy the magical views from the upper deck before dining in the splendid restaurant.

School Groups
The educational cruises have been designed to give students a different perspective of the National Buildings and to introduce them to Lake Burley Griffin itself. The interesting commentary highlights several topics, and there is also the opportunity for students to ask questions. The cruise covers many aspects of the Canberra foreshore including:

Cruises are tailored wherever possible to fit school itineraries. Light refreshments are also available from the Snack Bar.

Sailing School
Learn to sail at the Southern Cross Yacht Club Sailing School. Children's courses are available December to January and adults dinghy courses are available October to November and February to April. Part time courses in yachting are held during spring and autumn.
