The Animals

Wednesday 17 May | Woden

The Animals, an English rock band of the 1960s, were known for their gritty, bluesy sound and their signature song, ‘The House of the Rising Sun’, as well as by hits such as ‘We Gotta Get out of This Place’, ‘It’s My Life’, ‘I’m Crying’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’.

While the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were the headliners of the British Invasion, The Animals were the backbone of blues. With their legacy undeniable, Australia is in for a treat when original members John Steel and Mick Gallagher (along with Danny Handley and Scott Whitely) bring The Animals live experience to Canberra.
