Two Up returns to Canberra Southern Cross Club
After a long hiatus, two up will return to the Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden on ANZAC Day this year.
To commemorate ANZAC Day the Canberra Southern Cross Club will offer free lunch to all returned service personnel and will be raising funds for Soldier On, who assist returning service men and women reintegrate back into the community.
Canberra Southern Cross Club CEO Ian Mackay said, “We are delighted to have two up back at Woden as well as continuing our long tradition of offering a complimentary lunch to all returned service personnel at all our Venues on ANZAC Day.”
All the major sporting action will also be shown across the football codes and racing plus a wide range of affordable value meals and snacks will be available.
All Club Venues open from 9am on ANZAC Day and the two up action starts at Woden at noon.
Members attending the Woden venue across the ANZAC long weekend will also have the chance to win a trip to Gallipoli. Woden Valley RSL Sub-Branch President Jim Gilchrist added “The Canberra Southern Cross Club is a long time supporter of the Woden Valley RSL Sub-Branch and the Sub-Branch commends the Club for offering this prize as an opportunity for two Canberrans to visit Gallipoli”.
Simply by spending $4 or more across the long weekend from Friday to Monday, Members will receive an entry into the prize draw, which will take place on 26 April. Given the current Government travel advisory warning to parts of Turkey, if desired, the winner can take the prize as cash.
