Apprenticeships & Traineeships
The Canberra Southern Cross Club provides New Apprenticeship opportunities for school students and school leavers in the following areas:
- Australian School-Based Apprenticeships (ASBA – Part-time)* Kitchen Operations or Hospitality
- Chef Apprenticeships – 4 years
- Management Program
- Hospitality Management Traineeships – 4 years
- Diploma in Hospitality Management
To be successful, applicants will display:

- Numeracy skills
Management Program
We offer a management program for talented people wishing to fast track a career in hospitality. Successful applicants will undergo academic study in Hospitality Management and "on the job" training in a variety of operational and corporate support service roles. A minimum of year 12 certificate is required. Management Programs are open to all levels and general recruitment rounds are held in January and December each year. Recruitment rounds will be advertised on this website and in The Canberra Times.
